Miss Lee

Class Teacher

My name is Miss Lee and as well as a Year 6 class teacher, I am also the Religious Education Leader for KS2 – I make sure the RE curriculum is informative as well as exciting.

I began working at Gladstone Road in 2019 as I moved from Hull (my home city) because I love Scarborough and its sights, it holds a lot of nostalgia for me; I spent three years training to become a teacher at the old University of Hull campus on Filey Road and I missed it too much after I returned home. I have been a qualified teacher since 2017 and I love it!

I absolutely love being a part of the Year 6 team; the topics we get to cover are so exciting and jam-packed full of interesting things to learn and do! In fact, there are that many amazing things, it’s too hard to choose one, but I’ve got to say Year 6’s Autumn Term topic, World War Two, is definitely up there with the best! My favourite part about working in Year 6 is how much of a team we are; I love seeing how the pupils progress throughout the year, before they take flight off to secondary school, they grow so much in knowledge, maturity, and confidence! My favourite subjects are maths and science, and I LOVE a good battle on TT Rockstars! If you dare challenge me, watch this space!

When I’m not busy being Miss Lee in school, I spend my time doing all sorts of different things like: exploring new places; loving animals – dogs and giraffes are my ultimate favourites (check out the photo); singing (loudly); cooking (delicious treats) and watching musicals! I also really like watching sports, especially rugby, my loyalties still lie with my home city, and I support Hull Kingston Rovers!
