Class 3C

Hello,
I originally completed my teacher training here at Gladstone in 2019 and I am overjoyed to re-join the supportive teachning team as a Year 3 teacher in 2022. Since qualifying as a teacher I have married, had a beautiful little boy and completed My Masters Degree in Education, to name just a few things.
I love to dance and anything performance related! Before training as a teacher, was a professional dancer for a number of years before injury forced me into early retirement from my performing career. After my stage life ended, I taught Ballet, Jazz and Contemporary dance for a local dance school until covid brought us all to a standstill. I am really looking forward to using my performing and theatre knowledge in the curriculum, and hopefully in some extracurricular activities. I also enjoy nothing more than reading a good book, crafting or watching a Harry Potter marathon (preferably with a cup of tea and biscuits).
Working with children is a challenging but amazing experience. No two days are the same and the children bring so much enjoyment, light and laughter to my life. I am overwhelmed to be back at Gladstone Road as a class teacher and cannot wait to grow and learn with the children in my class. I really do love to learn new things and hope my enthusiasm for education will be infectious as I bring the curriculum to life (obviously through my performing skills). One of my favourite subjects to teach is history as the children become fascinated with how people used to live and how this has had an impact on life today.

I look forward to working with all my children and their families and look forward to building relationships with every child in my class.
