Hello! I’m Mrs kirk and I’ve been teaching at Gladstone Road Primary School for over 10 years although, if you’re a past pupil you might have known me as Miss Ireland. I had my final teaching placement at the school and loved it so much I’ve never left!
I absolutely love everything about Gladstone Road it’s such an amazing family to be part of. I always wanted to be a teacher, there is no better feeling than helping children to grow in confidence and being there to witness those ‘light bulb’ moments! One of my favourite things is getting to know each child as an individual and building a relationship with them. As a parent myself, I understand how much trust you put in us and I strive to make the children feel safe, secure and happy whilst at school.
I have two little girls and when I’m not at school, we love to spend time on the beach exploring the rock pools and jumping over the waves. I feel so lucky to live in such a beautiful place!
Across the years I’ve taught in EYFS, Years 1, 2 and 3 and I am so excited to join the Year 4 team. I’m especially looking forward to teaching you all about the Vikings! I’m looking forward to a fabulous year.
